Fire Alarm Systems Maintenance Mechanic
Fort Bragg, NC
@Orchard LLC has an immediate opening for a Fire Alarm Systems Maintenance Mechanic to work with our well-established solutions provider within the defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure sector. The work will be located in Fort Bragg, NC Army Installation base. The initial period of performance is 6 Months with a potential for FTE opportunity based on the business need. Owing to the nature of the work, we are only able to accept applicants who are able to obtain minimum federal clearance to work.
Requirements:- 3-7+ years of experience in the Fire Alarm industry
- Current NICET I Certification or ability to obtain within One (1) year of hire.
- U.S. citizenship required
- Demonstrated familiarity with Fire Alarm Systems and security components from various manufacturers.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associates Degree in Electrical engineering or related Electrical technology preferred
- Ability to implement Inspections, Testing & Maintenance (ITM) protocols and perform service work per NFPA regulations and DoD / Government requirements.
- Capability to Integrate new components into existing Alarm and Detection systems, Suppression Systems, and Mass Notification Systems.
- Be knowledgeable in DoD regulations, NFPA Codes, and the Unified Facility Criteria (UFC’s) pertaining to Life Safety and be able to ensure compliance with the system, address engineering inquiries, and support the inspection team in the resolution of problems.
- Ability to read and interpret statements of work, specifications, and design drawings.
- Microsoft Office experience and computer proficiency required
- Must be able to repetitively lift 35 pounds
- Must be willing to work overtime when required
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check required
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be able to meet customer security requirements (moderate to high risk).
