Senior Revit MEP Layout Designer – Nuclear/DOE
DOE, time and a half for overtime, must work at site, no remote.

Requirements:
US citizen and must be able to obtain site security badge for access to work site.

Minimum Qualifications:
Hands-on experience using Revit MEP, Architectural, drawing generation, view templates, design options, and phasing.
AA/AS degree or certification in an engineering curriculum or drafting/design with 8 years’ experience or in lieu of degree a high school diploma and a minimum of 12 years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous use of Trimble SysQue.
Previous DoD/DoE, USACE, NAVFAC, or USAF experience.

Position Summary
This position is for a Revit MEP Designer/Engineer who will prepare Revit 3D designs associated with DOD and USAF projects. The successful candidate must have strong organizational and teamwork skills, proven problem-solving abilities, a can-do attitude, and the desire to innovate designs. This role will specifically support the USAF Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase. The GBSD program is the weapon system replacement for the Minuteman III missile systems. Our team is supporting Northrop Grumman and the USAF’s nuclear deterrence mission to modernize this ground-based leg of the nuclear triad. This position is responsible for direct production of design work by client as well as for coordinating the scope and integration of work.

Job Responsibilities (include but not limited to)
Building layout in 3D Revit model environment.
Modeling of piping, HVAC and equipment (MEP) in a 3D Revit model environment.
Preparation of drawings/documents for Floor plans.
Assist with coordination of 3D model activities, i.e. input, interference reconciliation, etc. with other physical related disciplines.
Interface with stress and pipe support engineers, construction, and suppliers during the preparation of designs for the purpose of model/space control, etc.
Perform coordination review of specifications and other documents prepared by others.
Candidate should possess a knowledge of OSHA, NFPA and piping codes.
Hands-on experience using Revit Architecture/MEP and drawing generation.
Knowledge & application of International Building Code, ASME B31.3 for piping, plumbing codes and ASHRAE standards.
