Essential Job Functions:    PRODUCTION PLANNING & OPERATIONS SUPPORT
  • Oversees and manages all aspects of SYNEO TX production planning, scheduling, operations control, and process support for Machine Shop, Sharpening and Contract Services.
  • Ensures all manufacturing operations meet in-house completion and delivery dates according to customer orders and sales forecasts.
  • Analyze part manufacturing specifications and translate machining process steps (CNC Lathe, Mills, etc.), tooling required, and work instruction information into Manufacturing Order (MO) Routers.
  • Analyzes and interprets bills of material, scopes, and specifications, etc. to determine the content and plan manageable work elements.
  • Master Router creation, modifications, revision control, and verification relative to work center steps, work instruction notes, defined tooling, CNC Program reference, Quality Assurance needs.
  • Creates, monitors, and analyzes all set routing for sequence of operations and assessing Manufacturing Order (MO) Variance/Router Analysis to update Master Router.
  • Capacity Resource Planning and scheduling of workloads/flow through work centers relative to machine and human resource requirements.
  • Generate and maintain product lead-time analysis to correlate customer service quoting of product manufacturing and delivery targets.
  • Maintain and determine status of all orders in process, expedites, delay events, altering schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • MRP Suggestions Report generation, analysis, and maintenance to translate into product deliveries.
  • MO Packet generation, structuring, printing and control (Picklist/Router/Drawing, etc.).
  • Assess and execute ECN disposition impacts and resolution.
  • Manufacturing Order/Sales Orders links and maintenance.
  • MRP IRP settings, control, and maintenance relative to Sales & Operations activities related to product forecasting, Make-to-Stock, Make-to-Order, etc.
  • Prepares/presents production reports in daily Production Meetings, communicating potential bottlenecks.
  • Ensures all parties are fully cognizant of production status and work planning and execution objectives are integrated and communicated.
  • Works closely with inventory, procurement, and engineering personnel to resolve raw material shortages, external vendor delays, alternate methods of manufacturing as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as needed to assist the company in attaining its objectives.
SKILLS
  • Strong analytical thinking and systematic approach to problem solving.
  • Current, or prior, parts manufacturing machining experience relative to CNC Lathes, Mills, etc.
  • Experience with MRP systems in a manufacturing environment (GP Dynamics preferred).
  • Computer literacy, displaying ability to learn new systems and proficiency in MS Office products.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills to convey/receive information, interpersonal skills to get buy-in from all parties.
  • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, and thoroughness.
  • Ability to read schematic, technical, and assembly drawings.
  • Confident as an independent thinker, yet proactive in communication with others as needed to be successful in the role. Will include moderate, daily interactions.
  • Able to function in a dynamic, fast paced, environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • EXPERIENCE – A minimum of 5 years related work experience, whereas less experience may be substituted with a related degree.
  • EDUCATION – AS or BS in related field of study is preferred. Experience may be substituted for education requirement.
This position will require the ability to work under pressing conditions in a professional and responsive manner. Must have a CAN DO attitude to drive projects through to completion, displaying the ability to obtain results through an influential demeanor. In addition, the position requires:
  • Primarily work in a controlled office environment
  • Requires interfacing in the Production and Machine Shop which are manufacturing environments with some mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards. Employee should take care to learn about these hazards and how to stay safe
