Operations Manager                                                               Job Description
Reports To:  Location Manager
Objective:  To oversee all aspects of production and service; ensuring efficiency, quality, and excellent customer experience in all aspects of operations.
Summary of Position:                                   
The Operations Manager is responsible for all aspects of production and service across the branch. The OM is tasked with staffing, recruiting, and retention of technical personnel to achieve the company vision statement.   The OM assists the General Manager and department heads in accomplishing business objectives. 

Duties & Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                                       
  • Develop processes, policies, procedures and best practices
  • Disseminate, train, and enforce processes, policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Hold the production teams to goals and be able to coach for improvement when those targets are not realized
  • Ensure that customers are receiving a standardized experience across all operations departments by enforcing organizational standards
  • Ultimately responsible for realized gross margin
  • Develops staffing plans that can accommodate fluctuations in workload
  • Coordinate staff training as required
  • Negotiate with vendors and buying team to maximize success in all aspects of procurement
  • Establish protocol with sub-contractors to obtain technical services in line with company goals
  • Assemble plans and budgets for GM approval with regards to industry changes and financial climate
  • Develop incentives and rewards that encourage building a company image through ethical business practices
  • Update project documentation and work orders in job management software
  • Ensure that jobs are completed according to time and materials budget allowed
  • Presents issues and trends in production meeting and attend departmental meetings as required
  • Conduct annual performance reviews across all positions in the division
  • Assess strengths and weaknesses of staff members and take necessary action to enhance performance, up to and including disciplinary action
  • Local travel to job sites as needed
  • Provide training or communication to disseminate pertinent information as required
  • Fiscal responsibility for all assets & property assigned
  • Customer service, including the ability to work with high profile and high demand customers
  • Guardianship and preservation of client confidentiality and network/home security
  • Adherence to state and federal laws, including adherence to traffic laws

Qualifications:
The Operations Manager position requires proficiency in the following skills and qualifications: Performance Management & Coaching experience; Staffing, Management, Proficiency & Process Improvement are necessities for this position. Basic computer skills with the ability to become competent in in house job management software.
