The Biomedical Equipment Repair Technician performs operational and safety testing, maintenance and repairs on patient care equipment. Responsibilities Include: Technical inspections of new, used or reconditioned medical equipment, repair of damaged medical equipment, and Overhaul of medical equipment. Required Skills: Use of authorized Army Automated Systems including, but not limited to, the Defense Medical Logistics Shared Standard Support (DMLSS) , the Standard Army Maintenance System-Enhanced (SAMS-E), Theatre Enterprise-Wide Logistics System ( TEWLS), Global Combat Support System (GCSS), and other systems specifically authorized by the USAMMA M3D. Must complete maintenance actions within a reasonable performance time. Maintenance actions include, but are not limited to technical inspections, repair, calibrations/PMCS, and overhaul of medical equipment. Successful Candidate Requirements: A minimum of two years of Biomedical Equipment repair experience is required. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Ability to work effectively within a team environment. Ability to speak, read, write and understand the English language. Familiarity with the Biomedical field and its’ concepts, practices and procedures. Qualifications: Must provide documentation of eligibility to legally work in the United States. Must have a valid Driver’s License. As a minimum, BMETs shall be graduates of the Department of Defense (DoD) Medical Equipment Repairers Course. Certified through the International Certification Commission (CBET), or have at least earned an Associate’s Degree (AAS) in Medical Equipment Technology. A minimum of two years directly related experience. Candidates are required to pass a background check and possess the ability to pass a NACI background investigation and acquire a CACard. Work Conditions and Special Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. at a time, the ability to push/pull equipment to and from carts, the ability to kneel, stand, bend, and reach during equipment repair/maintenance. Willingness and ability to travel frequently as required.

$ 31.25 to 36.06 per hour
Annualized:  $ 62,500.00-$ 75,004.80

Annual Leave Accrues to a maximum of 120 hours per year. Leave may not be used for the first 90 days of employment unless approved by your supervisor.
