ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints to determine welding requirements
- Ability to use weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances
- Ability to weld parts in horizontal and vertical positions
- Ability to weld from engineering drawings.
- Ability to weld on a variety of metals
- Experience with both MIG & TIG Welds
- Requires lifting and carrying up to 50lbs.
- Set up Robotic Welding stations by operating/retrieving various computer programs stored in the robotic welding equipment
- Conducts dimensional checking of parts using equipment provided.
- Conducts destructive and nondestructive testing of welds to customer specifications and AWS standards.
- Performs minor troubleshooting and maintenance on robots.
- Inspect welded parts for correct weld length, size, defects and overall quality to customer specifications and AWS standards.
- Provide assistance in resolving non-compliant processes.
- Reviews the daily production log sheets
- Ability to communicate and distribute information to others both orally and in writing.
- Ability to follow safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to effectively present relevant information to management.
- Must be responsive and responsible, willing and able to “do whatever it takes” to navigate through demanding situations and scheduling conflicts.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE- Must be able to work independently.
- Minimum 2-3 years welding experience
- Experience with MIG & TIG welding
- Skilled in reading Blueprints
- Working knowledge of weld processes and proper weld techniques,
- Willing to train and provide course work for Weld technology as it relates to robotic programming.
