Official title - Specialist, Resource and Referral
Salary:  $20-21/hour with a BA. 
               $19/hour without a BA, with experience as noted below.
               Comprehensive benefits package.
Work location:  Administrative Offices - Mid Wilshire, Los Angeles
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
                  Hybrid Schedule – 2 days onsite/3 days remote!
                  Occasional weekends or evenings.
Primary Duties: To provide child care referrals and technical assistance and support to families, child care providers, and the community; including information in the areas of choosing quality child care, childcare options, licensing requirements, etc.
Other Duties:
Provide child care referrals to families seeking child care and screen to determine eligibility for subsidized child care.
Support the professional development of child care providers through presenting, facilitating, and/or coordinating the provision of pre-professional and advanced trainings.
Maintain current and accurate information on licensed child care providers within our service area.
Develop and maintain current and accurate information on family support services; including child care provider and community resources and consumer education materials. 
Support families by participating in family engagement events and activities, including facilitating parent trainings, meetings, parent cafes, and activity days.
Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with partners and community agencies.
Assist in maintaining the accuracy of R&R databases for referral, data collection, and reporting purposes.
Represent the agency at community events and meetings, including health/community fairs, partner agency meetings, attending conferences/workshops, etc.
Assist the Family Engagement Coordinator and other departments as needed.
Attend and participate actively in departmental and agency staff meetings and trainings as required.
Maintain knowledge of funding terms and conditions.
Other duties assigned.

Requirements:
Bachelor's in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field not required but preferred.
Minimum of two years of experience in the child development field is preferred.
Experience and ability to work with adult learners and diverse client populations.
Experience with working with families and people from diverse economic and ethnic backgrounds.
Familiarity with the childcare provider population is preferred.
Knowledge of California’s child care and early childhood education service systems and programs is preferred.
Experience with Windows, MS Office. Network experience preferred.
Ability to nurture respectful relationships with community agencies, leaders, families, and other community stakeholders. 
Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Armenian or English/Korean

Compensation Package:
Vacation & Sick Time

· 10 days of Vacation per year for the first 2 years of service. No waiting period.

· 10 Sick Days per year – no waiting period.

· 11 Holidays per year – no waiting period.

· 18 Paid Hours early release – no waiting period.
