We are currently looking for a Project Architect to join our team in the Franklin, TN office. We operate in a fast-moving environment where flexibility and a willingness to take on new tasks keeps things interesting! The Design department is a critical area of our business. When the department excels, it makes a significant impact on the company and positively affects our reputation with our customers.

This is an IN-OFFICE position based in Franklin, TN.

What you will be doing:

· Manage and lead team of 2-5 designers

· Collaboratively work with clients and internal teams to coordinate and manage projects throughout all project phase, pre-design through construction administration and close-out

· Produce and comprehend plan drawings and efficiently produce documents and revisions

· Oversee quality control and ensure compliance with project scope and budget

· Coordination of construction documents

· Meet with clients to scope walk existing stores to finalize proposed plans

· Maintain notes, design calculations, and other documentation for future reference

· Conduct detailed site/building surveys and develop as-built plans

· Travel as needed, up to 30%

What we’re looking for:

· Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Design, Interior Design, or Drafting. Degree may be waived with significant and demonstratable work experience

· Architectural license in the US required

· Minimum of 10 years of comprehensive design and construction documentation experience

· Experienced in leading a team of designers and managing multiple clients

· Ability to evaluate and recommend design solutions to clients

· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office

· Experience with agency permitting and approvals is a plus

· Retail or Convenience Store experience strongly preferred

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

· Acute attention to detail

· Strong organization and time management skills

· Ability to work in a team environment
