Job Title: Field Technician
Position type: Full Time, Hourly Employee
Location: Remote 50% and Traveling 50% (domestic and outside of the country)
Schedule: This position is 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off schedule. The candidate is expected to travel for about 2 weeks every month to perform routine maintenance of all our sites. In those two weeks, the candidate will have attained (or close to attaining) full time hours, and then have 2 weeks off before the next assignment.
Credentials: Associates or High School Degree
Citizenship: United States citizenship required.
Security Clearance: All new hires will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US citizenship is required for clearance.
Job Description:
ExoAnalytic Solutions is looking for an exceptionally talented Field Engineer Technician interested in maintenance of the ExoAnalytic Global Telescope Network (EGTN). Assignment includes 50% travel to observatories to complete maintenance and analysis on-site.
The Field Engineer Technician candidate will have experience with the following:- Installing, servicing, or performing complex on-site repairs of telescope and computer equipment
- Working under directions and guidelines without direct contact with supervisor
- Troubleshooting of equipment
- Troubleshooting of software issues
- General structural maintenance
- Performing Inventory Checks
- Experience debugging in Windows/DOS and Linux environments.
Knowledge & Experience Requirements (must have):- U.S. Citizenship
- U.S. Passport
- Applicant will be in the field approximately 50% of the time at various observatory locations.
- Applicant is expected to be able to lift over 50 pounds and complete other hands-on tasks requiring the use of power tools.
