The In-Process QC Inspector (CTT) is responsible for quality control, quality assurance and accuracy of Cutting Tool Technology (CTT) production parts, ensuring all parts meet the required specifications during and after the manufacturing process. Familiarity with the SYNEO product lines as well as the specific manufacturing techniques and methods involved in the complete manufacturing process is desirable.
JOB DUTIES
Essential Job Functions:
- Comply with all Safety, Regulatory, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Responsible for checking quality on all in-process machined parts at various stages of production, as well as contributing in product Final QC Inspections.
- Ensure manufacturing quality standards are met, maintaining daily documentation reflecting work.
- Use various measuring devices and equipment, including but not limited to: Microscopes, automatic vision systems, Coordinate Measuring Machine, gage pins and blocks, calipers, micrometers, height gauge, granite blocks, thread gauges, and bore gauges, etc.
- Ability to read engineering/manufacturing drawings/ schematics and recognize GD&T symbols/definitions.
- Contribute to conclude real-time assessment of process failures and corrections.
- Document results using applicable process forms.
- Document times needed to accomplish measurements.
- Document failures using non-conformance reports and inform appropriate personnel.
- Manage time and prioritize needs based on production priorities and schedule.
- Assist and inform machinists/technicians with process correction based on measurement/review of parts.
- Ownership of specific quality inspection equipment and processes.
- Program/Operate Keyence Imaging system.
- Communicating with team members and management regarding non-conformances and participating in the identification of root causes for defects.
- Perform all other duties as needed to assist the company in attaining goals and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS
- EXPERIENCE – Prior experience in manufacturing techniques, methods and tooling involved in the manufacturing process of SYNEO product lines is highly desirable. Prior mechanical inspection experience is highly desirable.
- EDUCATION – High School Diploma or equivalent
In addition, the position requires the following:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position primarily involves standing for long periods of time and good manual dexterity. Clear vision is necessary. Will be required to bend in order to look through a microscope. Lifting of component upwards of 25lbs to a maximum of 40 lbs. is expected.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position will require the ability to work under pressing conditions in a professional and responsive manner. Must Work With A Purpose to drive projects through to completion, displaying the ability to obtain results through an influential demeanor.
Work is carried out indoors, in the machine shop. Occasional work in the production area may be needed from time to time. Bright lights throughout the day and the high necessity for a clean work area in order to meet product specifications is required.
