Plant Director   

We are looking for a Plant Director for a highly technical spray drying facility in Western Kansas. This is with a national company that offers a great deal of growth opportunity from within. This position is a leadership role for someone who is enthusiastic to inspire employees to greater levels and drive company performance across all departments.

Must have experience with spray dry manufacturing. ***

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage the health and safety of team members. Promote employee participation in actively managing EHS through identification and mitigation of hazards. Timely investigates and reports EHS events
  • Verify manufacturing team is staffed appropriately to meet business requirements
  • Mentor, train and coach facility leadership team. Developing employees for their next role
  • Demonstrate leadership through participation in core leadership processes such as development of division and manufacturing facility operating, capital and expense budgets, employee onboarding, and succession planning
  • Support collaboration across the facility, learning and purpose
  • Lead establishment of KPIs to measure performance of the division and manufacturing facilities
  • Facilitation communication between customers and plant to ensure proper response to customers complaints and excellent customer service
  • Verify facility operations comply with company policies, customer expectation and regulatory requirements
  • Cultivate an innovative, data driven, team-oriented culture that embraces CI
  • Lead effective stakeholder collaboration to standardize plant functions of safety, quality, maintenance, environmental, SAP, SQF, HACCP, auditing, and Abatement activities
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure an effective capital and expense project management process
  • Enable team members focused on increasing productivity through the application of a standardized CI program


Required Skills/Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 8+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment including three years of management experience
  • Must have experience working in a spray drying facility
  • Experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment
  • Strong team building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to interact in a positive and professional way with customers and all company employees
  • Ability to provide leadership and management of various systems, projects, and priorities
  • Excellent understanding of the organization’s strategy, goals, and objectives
  • Strong insight into the organizations structure and stakeholder needs
  • Able to build relationships with individuals across the organization
