Summary:
Our client’s strategic investment in new age systems and tools requires a strong Product Owner III who will work closely with the Sr. Manager of Software Product Strategy and cross-functional IT/business stakeholders to help support the product vision of these new systems and consumer off-the-shelf (COTS)/ value-add product offerings and their roadmap.
We value a Product Owner III who acts as a product owner of consumer-facing applications and is committed to delivering a suite of applications that will optimize our global site management and operations.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

(50%) Support Refinement of Prioritized Project Initiatives
  • Work with cross-functional teams to get a formal estimate of initiatives to aid with prioritization and product roadmap refinement
  • Refine the product roadmap that supports core offerings and align with Go-to-Market strategies set by the enterprise
  • Create End-to-End Scenarios to both communicate big picture aspects of business operations and serve as the basis for whole system testing scenarios.
  • Extend product ideation/refinement by engaging a cross-functional internal and external team of stakeholders who will provide insight on “what matters most” to our master franchisees, domestic franchisees, stores, and fulfill customer service trends.
  • Support initiatives for rapid pilot users’ rollout

(20%) Partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure flawless execution of our Consumer Off-the-Shelf store software products.
  • Work closely with business and technology leaders (Solution Architecture, Technical Delivery, Application Architecture/Development, Content Management, Quality Assurance, and Operations teams) in communicating/maintaining clear priorities of project initiatives.
  • Support a very large project and its execution teams by staying informed and aligned with the hardware, software, integrations, determination of customer needs, and technology feasibilities.

(30%) Product Ownership
  • Represent the customer (Franchisee, Insider, Delivery Expert, End Customer, etc.) through all facets of the SDLC.
  • Ensure high-level business requirements are clearly defined and articulated in support of future solutioning and implementation by the delivery teams.
  • Provide real world business use cases that will drive feature creation and team delivery
  • Evaluate software solutions to determine if they meet the needs of the business before solution is given to development for implementation.
  • Evaluate delivered software increment and ensure it meets the quality and functionality needs of our customer(s).
  • Provide system demonstrations and program update presentations to Director level management and below


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, business administration or related field OR equivalent professional experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in medium to large scale system implementation efforts using multiple SDLC methodologies such as Agile, RUP, Waterfall, etc. (Agile Scrum strongly desired)
  • Strategic Thinking / Visioning - able to articulate the vision for long term success of a product
  • Great communicator (oral and written), presenter, positive, engaging, passionate, persuasive and respectful
  • Proven track record of working with stakeholders to identify the need of the business and clearly articulating that in the form of requirements and communications with delivery teams
  • Strong facilitation skills; great organization and management skills
  • Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Understands the capabilities of key technologies (HTML5, Java, .NET, SQL Server)
  • Domestic and International Travel Required – up to 20%

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in Restaurant Chain, Quick Service or Retail Industry
  • Demonstrate ability to lead cross functional teams without direct authority to obtain results
  • Has foundational experience playing a contributing role in full cycle software delivery as a developer, business analyst, technical delivery, or quality expert (previous development experience strongly preferred)
  • Experience or equivalent subject matter expertise across multiple technology areas
  • Experience working in an Agile product/software development environment
