Position Summary:

The Director of Human Resources will serve as a dynamic and strategic thought partner to the President and CEO and will work in close partnership with the Executive and HR teams to develop and implement a people-centric organization that attracts talent and ensures employees are highly engaged in the mission and culture of the organization.
 
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for providing leadership and consultative services in all areas of HR, including management, coaching, employee engagement and relations, talent acquisition, development and retention, organizational culture, compensation, organizational and performance management, training, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
 
The Director of Human Resources will manage a team of individual contributors within the HR function. They will oversee the professional and efficient daily workflow of the HR department.

Job Requirements:
  • Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organizational Development
  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or Juris Doctorate preferred
  • A minimum of 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions, including 2+ years in senior or executive roles overseeing the HR function
    • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential
  • Fine art or cultural institution industry experience; higher education experience a plus

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Salary Range: $90,000-120,000
