Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Health, Safety, & Environmental (HSE) Specialist - Electrical to join our team to ensure the safety and health of our employees and clients, protect the environment, and support our mission. The HSE Specialist - Electrical responsibilities include supporting HSE Manager in implementing and promoting the site HSE programs and policies, supporting a proactive safety environment and culture, as well as verifying that HSE programs are being effectively implemented across the organization. The HSE Specialist - Electrical is expected to be self-directed and able to take the initiative to support the company and employees by providing proactive coaching/mentoring, and helping our organization achieve HSE success.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • ​​​​​​​Assists & perform LOTO upon request.
  • Enforces client HSE standards.
  • Provides on-site safety support, coaching, and training to new and existing employees.
  • Conducts electrical safety training.
  • Maintains compliance with electrical safety standards.
  • Performs daily safety walks, daily reports, routine safety audits, and tool safety inspections.
  • Ensures compliance with timely reporting as required by the Company, state and OSHA health and safety regulations and statues.
  • Maintains environmental regulations and policies to ensure compliance environmental reports and reporting including Storm water permits and SPCC.
  • Assists in incident investigations and reporting, including root cause analysis, development of corrective action strategies, maintaining statistical information, recommending program revisions as appropriate and creating routine reports to Leadership.
  • Attends client meetings, industry conferences, and roundtable workgroups to keep abreast of industry and customer-standard and emerging policies and trend to maintain HSE compliance.
  • Travels 25% - 50% in support of HSE.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Must have 2 years HSE Experience and/or 3-5 years Electrical Safety.
  • Associate degree or higher preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel.
  • Must have the mental capacity to understand and apply job-related concepts, technologies, instructions, and procedures.
  • Detail oriented and able to recognize errors quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to juggle multiple high priority tasks.
  • Working knowledge of general construction, electrical parts, and their intended use.
  • Ability to effectively solve problems.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and time management skills.
  • Must be flexible around work schedule and have the ability for some regional travel.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work successfully with a wide variety of individuals at various levels within the organ
