ABOUT THE ROLE

Logistics Property Company, LLC (LPC), is a rapidly growing industrial real estate developer and manager headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. LPC is expanding and we are looking for a dynamic entrepreneurial person to join our team.

To support the expanding business, LPC is seeking a Project Accountant to join the team, reporting to the Accounting Manager, the role of the Project Accountant is responsible for monitoring progress of projects, preparing financials and ensuring billings are recorded and paid in the timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and reconcile bank accounts
• Prepare monthly accounting, financial statements and reports
• Review construction draws with Draw Accountants
• Communicate with development and property management teams on monthly costs, budgets and forecasts
• Approve project invoices and ensure timely payment
• Comply with established accounting practices and procedures
• Perform monthly fee calculations
• Prepare wire and ACH payment requests
• Communicate with external auditors as required
• Provide overall support by investigating accounting questions, issues, and judgments and by partnering with team members from other business units to assist with accounting questions
• Assist with ad hoc projects including investigating payments, payable issues, or other accounting and finance related matters

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Approaches cross-departmental relationships with a customer service mentality and works well with associates of all levels
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Acute attention to detail
• Works well independently and as a member of various teams
• Manages multiple projects and meets goals and deadlines timely and consistently
• Versatile, flexible, and thrives in an environment where there are changing priorities
• Commitment to excellence and high standards.
