Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Quality management in the frame of the development of optoelectronic and IC products, reaching from the initial project planning phase to the completion of the product qualification
• Close collaboration with designers, material-, process- and application-experts of the development team to achieve an early identification and assessment of design- and production-process-related risks
• Definition of qualification tests and appropriate reliability robustness tests to determine the capability and weaknesses of the product and its production processes
• Systematic analysis of failures to deduce the required improvements of the product based on a profound understanding of the root cause and the related failure mechanism
• Statistical evaluation of test results with the objective of assessing the reliability in the customer’s application based on failure distributions and lifetime models
• Support the development team in the usage of Quality tools
• Consulting the customer teams as an expert for product reliability

Qualifications

• Successfully completed studies in Electrical Engineering, Physics or a comparable technical or scientific field
• Comprehensive knowledge of semiconductors, preferably of optoelectronic semiconductors and integrated circuits (ICs)
• Experience in the field of backend or frontend processing of LEDs or ICs as well as quality management is beneficial
• Know-how about statistical data evaluation appreciated
• Team player with assertive personality
• Fluent English skills, German skills or willingness to learn as a plus
• Willingness for sporadic travelling
