This position is 100% remote, but the client requires that the successful candidate be in the Eastern or Central time zones. Occasional but rare face-to-face meetings will occur over the course of the working year.  Ideally, the hiring manager would like to find candidates who are within 50 miles of one of five locations: Baltimore, Charlotte, Dallas, Evansville, or Wilmington. 

Product Lead – Consumer Loan Originations

Our client is in the middle of modernizing the consumer lending experiences that they provide to their digital, branch, and call center customers. They are in process of revamping their Originations functionality and are seeking a Product Lead to help define, own and drive this initiative. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, reliable, detailed, customer focused and driven to produce high quality work. This individual must thrive in a fast-paced environment.


What you will do

• Drive the strategy, execution, and transition to the new consumer lending experience. Craft and evangelize the vision and strategy for this area, align it with corporate goals and deliver value to current and future customers and team members. Own the multi-year roadmap. Collaborate across the organization in making this vision into reality.

• Develop and manage the roadmap for transition to a new originations platform, moving from legacy processing, fulfillment, and decisioning capabilities to a modern cloud-based originations ecosystem including Camunda for fulfillment, Provenir for decisioning, and a modern data factory/API strategy.

• Work in a high energy and results-driven environment with other leaders with decades of cumulative financial services and product experience. Engage closely with them to build hands-on exposure and thought leadership in the constantly evolving world of personal loans.

• Provide collaborative leadership to drive end-to-end product development including sales, verification, closing, service design, customer and team member experience flows, product management, and process improvement.

• Design and optimize the combination of services, products, and tools to deliver an experience that ensures efficient omni-channel processes.

• Understand and drive the needs within the origination lane while simultaneously understanding the broader product lanes and identifying and exploiting opportunities to work across business and technology to leverage best practices.

Skills and experience you’ll need:

• 10+ years of experience as a product manager in a fast-paced technology-oriented lending company, with ownership from idea to execution in a lending environment, ideally consumer lending.
• Understanding of complex and highly scalable straight-through-processing applications in the Digital channel.
• Experience with Loan Origination Systems (LOS) is a must.
• Strong sense for quality and user experience.

• Able to properly determine scope, key milestones, objectives, and dependencies of an initiative.

• Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and analytical skills.

• Experience working in an agile environment.
