LOCATION: REMOTE
(While this position is remote you must reside in one of the following states: Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, or New Mexico.)

ABOUT THE POSITION
We are looking for a skilled and ambitious Territory Sales Manager who will be responsible for Industrial Parts Sales primarily in TX, OK, LA, AR, and NM (travel outside of these states will be periodically required) for our Industrial Parts Sales Division. The Territory Sales Manager will engage in outside sales efforts to generate new business for the company while maintaining accounts and relationships with existing clients. Key Deliverables
  • Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective Customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the product support and parts sales department.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to algin with Astec’s goals.
  • Communicate with customers regarding equipment performance issues associated with parts, service, and new equipment.
  • Assist with the training for existing and prospective customers.
  • Maintain written and electronic of sales -related lead, contacts, referrals and communicating information to the correct department.

Key Activities & Responsibilities
  • Plans and organizes personal sales strategy and goals by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment aligning goals with parts and service goals.
  • Works with distributors to productively apply, promote and sell OEM parts and equipment.
  • Makes telephone calls and in-person visits, presentations, and training to existing and prospective customers; on parts and service for distributors and direct customers with appropriate follow up and follow through as needed.
  • Writes timely reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Helps factory coordinate service bulletins and marketing campaigns with customers for equipment in area.
  • Coordinates all sales activities with factory, Inside Parts Sales Manager, Service Manager, Territory Sales Managers.
  • Travels customarily and regularly throughout territory including frequent weeklong stays. 
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • Proficient in promoting safe and healthy work environment.
  • Adheres to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
  • Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, Associate degree preferred.
  • Prefers five to ten years’ experience in sales and a thorough understanding of customer relations.
  • Five years’ experience in thermal fluid processes and/or oil and gas industry with a mechanical and machinery-related industry is preferred.
  • Must be able to work cross-functionally and as a team.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to handle and resolve customer complaints and ability to solve practical problems related to heating systems and parts is required.
  • Must possess mechanical aptitude and the ability to read mechanical drawings.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Overnight travel (approximately 3-4 day/week) is required. Must successfully pass drug screen, physical, and background check. Valid driver’s license is required.

Travel Requirements: Overnight travel is required (2-4 nights)
