Job Title: Clinical Supervisor
Department: Therapy Wellness
Reports To: Clinical Director
FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary: The Clinical Supervisor provides strengths-based, trauma-informed, clinical, and administrative supervision and oversight to a team with varying backgrounds and skill levels, ranging from Bachelors’ level paraprofessionals to unlicensed and licensed Masters’ level staff who provide therapy and case management services.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.
  • Assist in planning, developing, and implementing mandatory and discretionary therapy services business line.
  • Assist in developing departmental policies and procedures review, implementation, and compliance.
  • Train, instruct, and evaluate unlicensed and licensed Masters’ level staff who provide therapy and case management services.
  • Delegate and support therapists with work assignments/schedules with support of Administrative Team. 
  • Review therapist Intake Assessments, Diagnosis, Assessments, Contract Pre-Tests, Treatment Plans, Progress Notes, Contract Post-Tests, Survey Monkey, and Termination Plans. 
  • Coordinate interpreter services and serve as liaison with interpreter services. 
  • Review and approve timesheets for semi-monthly payroll. 
  • Effectively communicates program, administrative, and clinical direction to clinical staff.
  • Discusses problem cases with clinical staff and makes suggestions and recommendations for follow up.
  • Provide individual and group supervision with therapists on a weekly basis. 
  • Confers with the Clinical Director regarding human resources and work-related problems.
  • Provide support to clinical staff as needed during family meetings and case conferences.
  • Responsible for identifying and executing quality improvement activities to improve workflow, program deliverables, and clinical outcomes.
  • Review, sign off, develop goals, and ensure compliance with the California Board of Behavioral Science (BBS) and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in the formulation and implementation of departmental goals and yearly objectives.
  • Complete annual reviews as well as disciplinary actions as needed for therapists. 
  • Support with the development of curriculum and training manual for both clients and therapists. 
  • Assist in development of best practice principles and procedures as needed.

Education/Experience: Master's degree or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree should be in Social Work (MSW), Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), or other closely related field of study.

Language Ability: Read, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the public. Should be Bilingual in Spanish.

Reasoning Ability:   Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; with emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Certificates and Licenses:
  • Current license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Must have a National Provider Identifier (NPI), or obtain an NPI, prior to employment start date.

Pay Range
$75,000.00   Annually to $79,000.00   Annually
