ABOUT THE POSITION
The VP, Parts Sales primary duty is to grow parts sales and profitability within the group.  This position is responsible for overseeing all parts sales activities, implementing growth strategies, and designing plans to meet sales targets globally for the Materials Solutions group.

Key Deliverables
  • Develop and create an aggressive growth strategy
  • Analyze & improve sales results within each territory
  • Develop KPI’s for each territory
  • Manage strategic account growth
  • Research competitive parts growth opportunities both organically and inorganically

Key Activities & Responsibilities
  • Develop, execute, and oversee strategies and plans to achieve set growth targets
  • Partner with Regional Sales Directors to enhance parts market approach
  • Create and maintain accurate records and sales reports
  • Build and maintain good, lasting relationships with customers
  • Direct, train and develop parts territory sales managers
  • Improve and grow customer base
  • Research and record competitor’s market plan, market pricing and market share
  • Identify prospective customers and growth opportunities outside the established customer portfolio and product list
  • Assist pricing director in research of market pricing
  • Build a best in class, customer centric, parts sales team
  • Lead demand planning and distribution teams to ensure high fill rate and on-time delivery.

To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:
  • 15 or more years of experience in sales and customer service
  • Degree in business or marketing preferred or relative experience
  • Initiative, drive and enthusiasm
  • After-market parts experience highly preferred
  • Experience with heavy machinery in the construction or mining industry preferred
  • Prior managerial experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to think analytically and strategically
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Presentation skills
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Project Management
  • Proven track record in delivering revenue and margin growth

Supervisor and Leadership Expectations
  • Lead parts sales strategies and initiatives. Lead parts sales team, planning team.
