OVERVIEW OF POSITION: The Girl Program Delivery Specialist is responsible for providing fun, relevant, and sustainable Girl Scout leadership experiences to girl members and supports troop leaders as they provide an engaging troop experience. The Girl Program Delivery Specialist works collaboratively with members of the Girl Program team as well as cross-functionally with other departments to ensure achievement of the goals of the council. Depending upon the specific position, the role will be focused as below:
● STEM Programs
● Travel and Family Events/Programs
● Older Girl Programs
● Younger Girl Life Skills Programs

● Recruitment and retention of qualified volunteers reflective of the populations served.
● Development and maintenance of positive internal and external customer relationships.

Supports the council’s membership and retention goals for girls
Responsibility
● Plans, delivers, markets, and implements relevant Girl Scout Leadership Experience through resources, program events, travel, GSUSA Destinations, family events, etc.
● Ensures volunteers/troop leaders are receiving the support they need to continue to deliver Girl Scout program through training and engagement opportunities (i.e. Retention)

Responsibility
● Assist in achieving the council’s membership and retention goals for girls by development, coordination and delivery of quality girl events, travel experiences, family events, programs and additional resources as driven by market needs.
● Develops and maintains program partnerships and collaborations to provide support and experiences for troops/girl members.
● Recruits, trains and manages volunteers for effective delivery of program.

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:
● 2+ years of professional experience. Sales, Program/Event development and delivery, volunteer management, volunteer engagement experience o Volunteer Relations – understands the functions of volunteers; demonstrates flexibility to meet with volunteers; effectively delegates responsibility; monitors use of volunteers within existing constraints and guidelines; recognizes volunteer accomplishments; works effectively with volunteers.
● Volunteer Management – knows the procedures, tools, and legal issues associated with recruiting, selecting, supervising, and releasing adult volunteers; assigns and manages volunteers in an efficient manner, monitors use of volunteers; recognizes volunteer accomplishments.
● Technical computer skills in Google G Suite for documents, spreadsheets and presentations, customer relationship management systems, and social networking. Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies with ability to understand basic data quality principles and practices.

Physical Requirements: For office-based positions, the general physical expectations are that:
● Individuals will be able to read materials and respond in writing or verbally.
● Individuals will actively participate in meetings in person or over the phone.
● Individuals will be able to operate a computer keyboard, calculator, copier machine, and other office equipment.
● Individuals will primarily perform tasks at a sitting desk. Individuals will move around the office as needed to gather files, attend meetings, etc.

Other expectations for this job include:
● May need to lift up to 20 pounds (supplies)

Other Expectations:
● Role spends ~25% of time outside the office so requires reliable transportation.
● Overtime may be required during peak seasons
