    Howard University Hospital seeks to hire an Executive Assistant to the Chief Finance Officer who will embrace our reach and historic tradition of excellence.     The Executive Assistant:
    • Under the direct supervision of the CFO, provides professional administrative support to two (2) or more Executive and/or Director Level Leadership members of the Faculty Practice and/or Howard University Hospital financial services team and works with minimal supervision.
    • Uses judgement in coordinating daily needs for a wide variety of administrative functions including but not limited to coordinating calendars, preparing letters/correspondence, electronic mail, assisting in the collection of data, preparing financial and related reports, assisting in the preparation of presentation materials, preparing and distributing meeting minutes, and other related tasks in direct support of HUH/FPP Financial Leadership.
    • Interprets and assists in managing records concerning policies and procedures related to the assigned departments or organizational units.
    • Assists leadership in financial and performance improvement initiatives. Coordinates data collection, completion, submission, and/or distribution as assigned.
    • Establishes, maintains, revises and provides control systems for office files and record keeping. Prepares and distributes reports and worksheets as instructed by the executive officer. Maintains the executive officer’s appointment schedule and travel ​​​
    • Welcomes guests and customers by greeting them, in person or on the telephone, answering or directing inquiries.
    • Assumes other duties and responsibilities that are related and appropriate to the position and area.  The above responsibilities are a general description of the level and nature of the work assigned to this classification and are not to be considered as all-inclusive.

    Qualified candidates will possess:
    • Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
