Job Summary
The Account Manager is responsible for working with Wego’s global product management team to develop new chemical-related business accounts for our existing product lines into end-use manufacturers within the territory. This individual has an excellent understanding of his / her region, and is tasked with cultivating high-level clients, and growing and maintaining strategic relationships within the region. The target market is Colombia but expanding to Ecuador, Venezuela and the Guyanas.
The Account Manager should have 5+ years of experience in managing the following family of products: acrylates, silanes, catalysts, Monomers UV, anhydrous phthalic, maleic, and PVA. Proficient in English and Spanish and Portuguese is a plus with a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
Responsibilities- Nurture, manage, and grow a healthy business portfolio within the territory, using a long-term perspective, leveraging both inside and outside sales tactics.
- Manage the entire sales funnel: generate leads, qualify them, gain approvals, negotiate prices, secure orders, and maintain the business.
- Conduct market research, attend trade shows, and remain current with industry trends.
- Aid in demand forecasting to inform the purchasing patterns of Wego’s various product groups related to your industry category.
- Anticipate and proactively respond to business needs and the needs of your customers.
- 5+ years of experience in chemical sales and marketing in the regional market with a good knowledge of the manufacturing landscape in the region.

- Ability to foster and manage customer relationships with a client-friendly personality.
- Ability to self-organize and be ultimately accountable for the satisfaction of your customers.
