Active Secret Clearance is required.

 
@Orchard is seeking a Project Scheduler to support the mission of the Commander Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) which is developing improved Wargaming capability to prepare our warfighters for their missions.  The government client utilizes project scheduling to stay on task with an aggressive schedule and to meet integrated prototyping development tests, operational tests, system acquisition, system delivery, and system sustainment goals.

 
The Project Scheduler works with the government scheduling lead to manage or create program master schedules, review contractor schedules for accuracy and logic, and report schedule status to all stakeholders.
 
As the Project Scheduler, you will be responsible for.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining detailed resource-loaded schedules for implementation, developmental, and operational systems.
  • Working with developmental and operational teams to develop detailed schedules and assisting in keeping these schedules current.
  • Developing or modifying project schedules and the integration of multiple project schedules into an overall Integrated Master Program Schedule.
  • Maintaining the overall Master Program /Project Schedule.
  • Linking project schedules with the overarching program, Investment Portfolio, functional area, and other Integrated Master Plans (IMPs).
  • Providing hands-on development of layered schedules and IMPs that address how an acquisition project is progressing and how that project contributes to overarching requirements and objectives.
  • Assisting in defining and implementing schedule software (MS Project, Office Timeline, Primavera, or specific program-mandated software, etc.) management processes and procedures.
  • Assisting in maintaining and developing the environment for the overall Master Program/Project Schedule and the integration of multiple project schedules into an overall Master Program Schedule.
  • Maintaining the scheduled product build, staging, testing, deployment, and integration.
  • Defining and implementing schedule configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrating those scripts with the schedule build process.
  • Developing schedule version control processes, policies, and procedures and ensuring that they are followed on development or operational schedule development and implementation projects.
Your experience will include.
  • 5+ years of project schedule management to include some DoD experience
  • US citizen with an active Secret clearance
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Excellent analytical and consulting skills
  • MS Project SME with the ability to ask relevant questions relating to dependencies and successors along with providing a critical path analysis.
