DPI Off-Road is hiring a Controller for a full-time position in Phoenix, AZ.  
 
The Controller is responsible for performing the monthly financial closing, ensuring the results are accurate and completed by the 15th workday.  The successful candidate will have ownership and responsibility for daily accounting activities, acquisition integration, and the accuracy of the Company’s books and records.  Reporting to the C.F.O., and working closely with the V.P. of Finance, this high-exposure role includes frequent contact with senior leadership. 

DPI Off-Road Brands is a growing, private equity-backed, international manufacturer and distributor of truck and off-road high-performance parts. With five locations across the United States and multiple brands, DPI Off-Road provides our customers with a full range of industry-leading suspension parts and interior and exterior accessories for Jeeps, Trucks, and Powersports vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have a strong balance sheet background with progressive experience reconciling balance sheets, including cash, fixed assets, and current liabilities within manufacturing.   
Intercompany transactions and sales tax, experience a plus.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

•        Responsible for the monthly closing process.
•        Maintain the Finance Policies and Procedures Manual, fostering a strong internal control environment and ensuring companywide compliance through audit, education, and enforcement.
•        Ensure financial statement sheet integrity and accuracy and lead the external audit process.
•        Control annual closing activities, including physical inventory and data delivery for compliance analysis on 401K and Insurance audits.
•        Integrate financial systems of acquisitions.
•        Maintain and implement standard costs, including analysis of variances.
•        Ensure tax liabilities are properly accrued, recorded, and paid.
•        Make process improvements that improve controls, financial statement accuracy, and reporting.
•        Liaison with Operations and Functional Leaders regarding Company control ownership and encouragement of a winning team culture.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

•        Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.  A higher degree a plus.
•        C.P.A. or C.M.A. a plus.
•        5 years of professional Controller or Accounting experience or equivalent.
•        Financial/Accounting experience in Manufacturing
•        Must be intellectually curious, self-motivated, and proactive and have strong problem-solving skills
•        Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently
•        Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-growth environment
