@Orchard LLC has a contract opportunity for several Structural Engineers at different experience levels for an engagement with the Department of Energy, located in Greenville, SC.

As the Structural Engineer you will be expected to be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Federal programs, ideally within the Department of Energy, and knowledge of Federal, State, and Local codes and standards applicable to structural engineering design.

Responsibilities:

Conduct construction document reviews.
Plan, organize, and coordinate structural engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design, and construction phases of engineering projects.
Prepare and review calculations, drawings, and specifications relating to seismic and wind analyses, foundation design, structural framing analyses and design, and bracing analyses and design.
Experience in renovating/modifying existing facilities is required.
Familiarity with computer-aided drafting applications is required.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering
Demonstratable experience in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, related phases of engineering, and field experience in the inspection of construction projects, with a preference for experience with Nuclear.
A Professional Engineer License is preferred but not required.
