Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000 Annually  

Role Summary:


Senior Analyst, Commercial Analytics and Business Insights is responsible for supporting commercial operations & sales analytics across all brands. This role will provide real time analytics, generating insights to inform decisions across the business, maximizing opportunities and ensuring operational execution is optimized for efficiency and effectiveness.

This role uses a combination of strategic thinking and analytical skills to help Medexus achieve its commercial goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manages Customer (physicians and accounts) Targeting process including analysis of external sales data, historical sales responsiveness, and projected sales activity impacts.
  • Tracks Performance against established goals throughout the year.
  • Provides appropriate reporting needs to other cross functional partners.
  • Supports Sales Management by leading the Territory Alignment & Targeting process across the Medexus portfolio of brands. Proactively support the optimization of territory alignments by identifying alignment opportunities through analysis to improve territory efficiency and maximize territory sales.
  • Develops the segmentation and the promotional response curves for each segment along with reach and frequency to drive physician adoption. 
  • Develops, forecasts, implements, and monitors the operating budget for the sales organization.
  • Routinely communicates with the sales teams and cross-functional business partners to support Sales Force operations-related activities.
  • Works with field sales and senior management to develop and execute sales quotas and target earnings based on demand sales of Medexus products.
  • Administers the Sales Incentive Compensation Program (SIC) and liaisons with senior management and finance to provide budget estimates, accruals, and other projections.
  • Conducts ad hoc and routine data analyses using secondary third-party data as well as internal call activity data, chargebacks, prescriber data at National and regional level, and other performance KPIs in business review format to be submitted monthly to key stakeholders.
  • Develops and sustains close working relationships with key stakeholders including marketing, sales, Finance, and the brand teams.

Skill Requirement

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and complex analytical techniques.
  • Proficient in analyzing large datasets from various sources, extracting relevant insights, and translating them into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear and compelling presentations and reports.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Knowledge/Experience with third-party pharmaceutical data sources (plan, payer, prescriber), Specialty distributor 867,852, Specialty Pharmacy
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and excellent time management abilities are required.
  • Experience leading analytical projects from inception to completion, while managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations effectively.
  • Adherence to ethical standards and regulatory guidelines governing data privacy, patient confidentiality, and industry compliance, ensuring that analytical activities are conducted with integrity and transparency.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work well with people from different disciplines at all levels, and with varying degrees of business or technical knowledge.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field is preferred.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights in a business setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated initiative, strategic thinking, and creativity.
