SUMMARY:
Mission Critical Partners (MCP) provides telecommunications and consulting services to the Public and Life Safety industry. We have an opportunity for a self-motivated individual looking for a career with a fast-paced rapidly growing company. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Engage with local, county, state and Federal clients and assess/address their needs
  • Develop and revise ongoing documentation to support client GIS initiatives
  • Develop and implement project management practices to meet project needs
  • Provide support for geospatial data development and quality assurance
  • Develop and continually revise best practices for data quality
  • Develop workflows, standard operating procedures and best practice documentation
  • Conduct and mediate meetings between local/county GIS personnel and vendors in regard to GIS workflows within the 911 project
  • Brief leadership group(s) on current 911 GIS progress, needs, and concerns
  • Work with vendors to address concerns/issues as necessary
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BS in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, or related field
  • 3 years of experience working with GIS, supporting state/county/local government entities
  • Proficiency in GIS platforms including, but not limited to, Esri ArcGIS desktop and Pro products and related extensions
  • Ability to lead group discussions that are centralized around GIS
  • Experience with writing technical documents with the ability to translate technical concepts and processes into terms that are understood by leadership personnel
  • ​​​​​Proficiency in Python programming language and SQL Script highly desired
  • Working knowledge of current National Emergency Number Association (NENA) standards and practices for GIS
