The Payroll and HRIS Specialist will be instrumental in executing flawless and compliant payroll operations while leading the onboarding document process for new hires. Specializing in Paylocity, the Payroll Specialist will optimize payroll processing and enhance HR Information System functionalities to support seamless employee integration. This fully remote role is ideal for someone passionate about payroll, HR technology, and streamlining onboarding processes, thriving in a fast-paced environment.

As the Payroll and HRIS Specialist, you will: 

 
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing using Paylocity, ensuring accuracy and compliance from a remote setting.
  • Oversee remote onboarding document processes, optimizing electronic form management for efficient completion by new hires.
  • Collaborate remotely with HR and Finance to verify employee data and ensure data integrity across platforms.
  • Conduct remote audits of payroll and onboarding processes, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Serve as the primary remote point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll and onboarding documents.
  • Stay updated on remote work technologies, payroll and HRIS innovations, onboarding trends, and compliance requirements.
  • Facilitate integration of Paylocity with other HR systems, focusing on enhancing the onboarding experience and ensuring data consistency in a remote work environment.

To be successful in the role, one must possess the following skills:  

  • Proficiency in payroll processing, HRIS management, and onboarding document processes, with expertise in Paylocity.
  • Have 3-5 years experience in payroll/HRIS
  • Familiarity with various payroll systems and comprehensive understanding of multi-state payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Solid grasp of corporate accounting principles applicable to payroll and onboarding processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of leading projects remotely.
  • Comfortable working 100% remotely and proficient in digital collaboration tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with CA labor laws - highly preferred
