The Warehouse Manager for this role delivers, maintains, enforces, and executes the warehouse operations under the supervision of the General Manager. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the direct supervision and oversight of all staff within warehouse operations. We are looking for a motivated leader with the understanding that the position may require extensive responsibilities.

To be successful in the role, one must: 
 
  • Safeguard operations and contents by establishing and monitoring procedures and protocols
  • Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with WMS
  • Maintain physical condition of operations by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
  • Achieve financial objectives by managing weekly budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and corrective actions
  • Complete distribution operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following work performance and productivity
  • Maintain staff by selecting, interviewing, on-boarding, and training employees
  • Maintain staff results by coaching, counseling, disciplining, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge. Actively participate in the organization's Committees and Safety initiatives
  • Adhere to customer requirements
  • Deliver excellent customer service to our internal and external customers
  • Partner with HR regarding employee relations issues
  • Excellent attendance for an exempt-level role
  • Handle any tasks related to the duties of the position
Minimum Role Qualifications:
 
  •  Knowledge and experience in distribution, receiving, inventory control, or materials management required, preferably in a cold storage, food production, or manufacturing environment
  •  Two years prior applicable supervisory experience and working in a team-oriented environment required
  •   Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and systems, preferably NetSuite
  •   Previous experience in managing a budget, forecasting, and analyzing labor standards required
  •   Proven safety management experience required
  •   Effective and professional oral and written communication skills
  •   Bilingual is preferred but not required
  •   Ability to lead people and get results through others
  •   Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  •   Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the methodologies of Lean Continuous Improvement and apply these concepts where applicable in the operation
  •   Ability to think ahead and plan over a 30-day time span and prepare action plans to achieve results
  •   Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations Formal Training/Education
  •   High school diploma or equivalent required.
  •   5-7 years of experience in manufacturing, warehousing or distribution industries is setting is preferred.
