Senior Electrical Project Manager/Estimator
A rapidly growing engineering and industrial construction firm in the Atlanta area is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager/Estimator for it’s Peachtree City, GA location.
The Senior Electrical Project Manager/Estimator will report directly to the Electrical Division Manager and working closely with the Vice-President of Business Development.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Create comprehensive scope estimates based on proposal documentation for diverse design-build projects.
  • Analyze project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and commercial terms, for accurate estimations.
  • Conduct conceptual estimating based on initial project parameters.
  • Develop initial execution plans, logistics, and schedules.
  • Gather insights from field operations to enhance final project estimates.
  • Generate detailed cost estimates for all self-performed work, including craft hours, labor, materials, and equipment costs from a crew-based perspective.
  • Develop estimates for project indirect costs such as staffing, project schedules, on-site facilities, and support costs.
  • Ensure adherence to the firm's estimating processes and procedures for consistency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including developers, architects, subcontractors, and Forza Group operations, during the design-build process, and participate in design meetings during pre-construction services.
  • Manage budget and financial aspects, tracking costs, forecasting expenses, and handling invoicing.
  • Oversee contractor and supplier selection and management, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Review and approve electrical designs and specifications to ensure alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks and changes.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, electrical codes, and safety regulations, obtaining necessary permits.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Mentor and develop junior project managers and engineers.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Interpret geotechnical reports proficiently and analyze technical data, market trends, and trade dynamics.
  • Proficiency in:
    • Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
    • Adobe Products, including Bluebeam
    • ConEst Intellibid (preferred)
    • Building Connected (preferred)
  • Ensure projects comply with customer specifications, NEC, and meet cost and schedule targets.
  •  Make decisive decisions under tight deadlines and with limited information.
  • Demonstrate business acumen, build subcontractor partnerships, and analyze risk.
  •  Independently distribute documents.
  • Applicants must pass pre-employment tests: background, MVR, drug tests, and have a valid driver's license.
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience estimating and managing industrial electrical projects.
