CG Financial Services is seeking a Manager of Agency Operations for our office in Williamston, MI. The Manager of Agency Operations will drive success as the leader of day-to-day operations and people as well as profitability and growth of the insurance agency. To achieve success, the Manager of Agency Operations must be able to drive strategy, lead a team of professionals, and maintain a positive outlook to support our internal culture and core values.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

- Understanding of carriers, carrier appointment agreements and carrier relationships
- Must be able to evaluate the financial value of independent agencies (quantify value of agencies) – fluid understanding of independent agencies’ M&A processes is a plus.
- Excellent understanding of agency contracts, commissions and schedules, and bonus and contingencies to include experience that enables understanding to optimize carrier value propositions.
- Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the company’s efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.
- Must have a proven track record with achieving business targets and performance management/leading salespeople.
- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business procedures.
- Implements policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations.
- Ensures work environments are adequate and safe.
- Plans, directs, controls, implements, evaluates, monitors, and forecasts budgets and cost of sales within each division to achieve financial objectives.
- Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to managers; for major changes, meets with entire operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.
- Establishes parameters for personnel evaluations, recruitment, and advancement within the organization.
- Improves customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes.
- Leads coordination and integration of efforts among operations, engineering, technology, and customer service divisions to produce smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes.
- Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:

Education/Experience:- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have experience in the independent agency field.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:- Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Certificates and Licenses:- P&C and Life Insurance Licenses required
- Any additional Insurance designations
- M&A experience preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities:- Directly supervises employees in the Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
