@Orchard LLC has been engaged as a sub-contractor on an engagement in support of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), and tasked with identifying an experienced Project Manager, familiar with Medical Logistics. The Project Manager will be working with the Strategic Material Sourcing Group (SMSG) Readiness Division to assess the wholesale medical readiness posture of the Medical Supply Chain. The focus is to ensure a robust logistical backbone to the supply chain in wartime or other critical contingency conditions. The SMSG is further tasked with coordinating with the Services and assessing contingency requirements for Combatant Commanders and other DoD or non-DoD government activities.

As the Project Manager – Medical Logistics you will;
  • Ensure order facilitation, fulfillment, and troubleshooting of any issues impacting the ordering process of medical supplies.
  • Compile, edit, and submit recurring reports to the government client as requested.
  • Utilize knowledge, experience, and research to provide product sourcing recommendations.
  • Proactively troubleshoot logistical or supply chain issues and develop effective resolutions to any and all challenges.
  • Utilize the government client’s IT applications to manage all associated contingency contracts.
Your background will include:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science, preferably within an engineering, supply chain, or management subject matter.
  • At least 5 years of demonstratable experience working within Logistics and supply chain management, including demonstrated experience supporting medical logistics.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a government client as a project manager in ensuring the smooth running of operations, and effective issue resolution.
  • Familiarity with Federal contracts as they relate to supply chain, logistics, and procurement.
  • Able to work onsite in Philadelphia on average 2 days per week, with the remaining time typically working from home. 
  • The ability to adapt to challenging and changing situations quickly while being able to facilitate the completion of multiple tasks and assignments.
