ABOUT THE POSITION
The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

Key Deliverables
  • Develop documentation for processes and procedures for Engineering projects based on work orders.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop a detailed project plan
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Communicate, monitor, and track progress

Key Activities & Responsibilities
  • Serves as a single point of contact with customers on assigned projects from initiation of project to completion.
  • Obtains critical information from customer such as soil test report, applicable emission limits, verification of scope, and approval of layout in a timely manner consistent with the project schedule.
  • Monitors charges of labor, purchased parts, and raw materials to ensure only appropriate charges are accumulated on the project
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Conducts meetings with customer representatives as necessary to ensure the smooth flow of the project and requisite information.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Provides information and project direction to Engineering Groups to ensure efficient, correct, and on‑time completion of engineering work.
  • Secures the involvement of appropriate Regional Sales Managers and/or Directors whenever change of project scope is necessary. 
  • Supports Sales and Engineering activities by visiting proposed job sites and collecting information.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.

To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience and training
  • 5+ years of end-to-end project management experience
  • Project management experience with electrical requirements or in the industrial controls field highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of mechanical drawings and drafting required.
  • Ability to produce field surveys and measurements for new and retro-fit applications required.
  • Ability to make AutoCAD layouts required.
  • Basic knowledge of asphalt plant electrical and control systems required.
  • Experience in the asphalt or construction industry is preferred.
