Patient Access Manager (Conroe)
The Patient Access Manager is responsible for managing daily operations of all Patient Access functions including the call center, registration, eligibility, check-in and check-out. The Patient Access Manager champions behaviors to drive superior levels of patient service and access as well as employee satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Plan and manage registration, eligibility, appointment scheduling, and check-in/check-out operations.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities that ensure important processes and activities are measured, assessed, and improved systematically.
  • Create, establish, and manage protocols, policies and procedures to ensure efficiency.
  • Hire and train staff to respond to patients’ needs.
  • Determine staff schedules and ensure operational standards are met.
  • Manage patient scheduling and direct patient flow through clinic.
  • Respond to patient issues and ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Train, manage, and assist team members with appropriate payment and insurance processes.
  • Run and analyze management, statistical, and financial reports.
  • Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA requirements are met when releasing medical records to providers and patients.
  • Participate and work with other managers and providers in developing good working relationships and processes throughout the Clinic.
  • Create departmental budget and reconcile expenses.
  • Serves as a patient advocate.
  • Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Service Administration or other relevant field from four-year college or university; or at least two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in office management required.
Bilingual – English and Spanish required.
