Girl Scouts of Western Ohio seeks a Cookie Program/Product Coordinator to join our team! The Coordinator manages full-cycle projects including but not limited to the coordination, implementation, and partnership with volunteers to deliver Product Program. Supporting our signature product programs – the Coordinator recruits and provides daily coordination and support for the community/troop volunteers and community partners, and manages cookie distribution and regional data to monitor and improve results.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Project Management:
  • Manage Program strategies to increase girl engagement and participation.
  • Coordinate multiple projects while managing conflicting priorities and deadlines.
  • Formulate short- and long-term project goals, objectives, schedules, and priorities in line with goals.
  • Anticipate issues, obstacles, or opportunities that may impact plans or actions.
  • Establish courses of action for accomplishing goals while attending to and incorporating information obtained during day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Monitor and track product inventory levels, progress and performance, and coordinate with Cookie and Fall Product vendors to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Communicate progress reports to the Product Program team and other internal departments.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise throughout the program cycle.
Volunteer Coordination:
  • Communicate to the regional distribution sites to support troops, including recruiting, and managing volunteers that enable the Programs to be dispersed to the troops.
Customer Service:
  • Manage difficult or emotional customer situations.
  • Respond promptly to customer needs.
  • Solicit customer feedback to improve service.
  • Respond to requests for service and assistance.
  • Meet commitments.
Problem Solving:
  • Recognize when immediate action is required.
  • Recognize when sufficient information has been obtained to confidently make decisions.
  • Make decisions where appropriate or refer decisions to the appropriate organizational level.
  • Makes decisions without undue delay. 
Provide input to the development of council product program assessment and planning.
Cultivating key community contacts to secure cookie booth setup locations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. This position requires the ability to manage the recruitment and coordination of volunteers.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. The days of work are primarily Monday through Friday. Work schedules and hours of work will vary, depending on support required by the active Program and time of year.  Position requires regular evening and occasional weekend work during peak Program months. 

TRAVEL
This is an “in the field” position requiring regular travel to assigned geographic areas of the council.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of one year experience or a combination of education and experience involving full life-cycle project management.
  • Ability to work frequent evening hours and weekends. 
  • Proven ability to work with staff, volunteers, third-party vendors, and other businesses.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with volunteer or staff management.
  • Minimum of 1 year customer service involving email, phone, and face-to-face communication
  • Experience in Salesforce is a plus; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to utilize with fluency the Internet and other technical computer skills in GSWO systems.
  • Personal transportation, proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license.

Pay Range
$19.75   Hourly to $19.75   Hourly
