UBT is looking for a full-time Program Manager- Federal/Military Construction, to join our dynamic design team!

Job Summary: As a Program Manager in Federal/Military Construction, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all phases of construction projects, from initiation to completion. Your primary focus will be on ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a deep understanding of construction processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Initiation:

  • Develop project plans, defining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project goals and expectations.

Budgeting and Financial Management:

  • Create detailed project budgets and track expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor and control costs, identifying and addressing budget variances.

Scheduling and Timeline Management:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to meet project milestones.

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure work meets specified standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to address any deviations from quality requirements.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines or budget.

Contract Negotiation and Management:

  • Review, negotiate, and manage contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and resolve any disputes that may arise.

Communication and Stakeholder Management:

  • Facilitate effective communication between project team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns and issues promptly.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure all construction activities comply with local regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is required.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a Program Manager in Federal/DoD construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
  • Experience working in federal/military space is required.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Candidates must be local to the Washington, DC area or able to relocate to this area.
  • This position requires US Citizenship; the ability to access to military bases.
