SUMMARY: Our Client Services Director (CSD) for The Monitoring Association's (TMA) Automated Secure Alarm Protocol (ASAP) initiative is a dynamic and visionary business development leader, passionate about advancing public safety communications. This role focuses on driving the adoption of the ASAP protocol among the top 1,500 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) in the USA, working closely with TMA, MCP's Public Safety CSD and CommSys to ensure successful implementations and high client satisfaction. The CSD will serve as an industry thought leader, actively participating in presentations, panels, and boards to advocate for ASAP, while developing strategies to differentiate it as the leading solution in the market. This remote/home office-based position is ideal for a results-driven professional dedicated to fostering long-term client relationships and driving innovation in public safety.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan targeting the top 1,500 PSAPs in the USA, with specific strategies, objectives, and performance targets to drive the adoption of the ASAP protocol.
  • Establish yourself as a leading voice in public safety communications. Drive the conversation around ASAP by leading presentations, participating in industry panels, and contributing to key boards and committees. Advocate for ASAP's adoption, sharing insights, trends, and best practices that underscore its critical role in enhancing emergency response.
  • Lead efforts to differentiate ASAP in the market, ensuring it remains the premier solution for PSAPs. Analyze competitive offerings, identify unique selling points, and develop innovative strategies to maintain and enhance ASAP’s leadership position.
  • Engage with industry leaders, public safety officials, and regulatory bodies to influence the adoption of ASAP. Advocate for its continued integration into national standards and secure endorsements that position it as the preferred solution for public safety communications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior-level executives at PSAPs, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions that align with their public safety objectives. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through close collaboration with TMA, MCP's Public Safety CSD and CommSys.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline using Salesforce, regularly reporting on progress and adapting strategies to meet and exceed ASAP adoption targets.
  • Lead the development, negotiation, and closing of contracts, ensuring all agreements align with both client needs and organizational goals.
  • Create and disseminate compelling content, including white papers, case studies, and thought leadership articles, to drive awareness and adoption of ASAP. Utilize these materials in presentations and discussions with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with technology providers, industry associations, and public safety organizations to expand ASAP’s reach and impact. Collaborate on initiatives that demonstrate the protocol’s advantages and drive its adoption at scale.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and events, effectively promoting TMA and ASAP.
  • Embody and promote MCP's core values of Persistence, Integrity, Trust, Accountability, and Prudence, contributing to the achievement of the company's mission and goals.
  • Travel up to 70% of the time to engage with clients and partners across the USA.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management to support the growth and success of the ASAP initiative.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in emergency communications, public safety, and/or emergency management. Demonstrated expertise in developing and driving business growth within professional services for public safety, specifically targeting PSAPs and Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems.
  • 5+ years of business development experience with a proven track record of identifying and securing new opportunities, particularly in selling solutions like ASAP to PSAPs. Experience in creating and executing strategies that differentiate products and services in competitive markets.
  • Active membership and participation in public safety affiliations and organizations, including leadership roles on various boards and committees. Established relationships within the commercial and government sectors, particularly those serving the public safety communications community.
  • Strong background in PSAP operations, CAD systems, and public safety technologies. Experience collaborating with technical teams like CommSys to ensure compatibility and successful client implementations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer. Preferred experience with Salesforce and other CRM systems, with a focus on managing sales pipelines and reporting.
  • A solid understanding of federal, state, and local agency guidelines and regulatory considerations related to 9-1-1 systems. Ability to stay informed.
  • Proven ability to establish yourself as a thought leader in the industry, with experience in leading presentations, participating in panels, and advocating for the adoption of advanced public safety solutions.
  • Valid Driver’s License with the ability to travel extensively (up to 70%) to client locations and MCP regional offices.
