Job Summary:

The Bravas Lighting Installation Technician will be an integral member of the Bravas in-house lighting team. This role involves working closely with Bravas Project Managers to ensure the successful installation of lighting systems during the rough-in and trim out phases of home construction. The technician will gain hands-on experience in both the custom integration and installation of various lighting solutions.

Knowledge, Skills/Abilities:

  • Installation of lighting rough in components during rough in phase of home construction
  • Installation of low voltage lighting wiring from control site to various locations within the home
  • Communicate progress and updates to Bravas Project Managers regularly.
  • Learn and master the installation of lighting pre-construction devices, low-voltage wiring and cabling, and lighting fixtures and components
  • Install all types of lighting systems & fixtures, specifically, Lutron
  • Maintain a high level of onsite professionalism while interacting with Bravas sales staff, custom home builders, architects and designers.
  • Always wear the Bravas uniform and conduct oneself professionally to uphold the company’s standards.
  • Collaborate with the team to perform shade and keypad prewires onsite, ensuring efficient and precise installation.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding home schematics/blueprints
  • Proficiency in using standard installation tools and equipment.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and construction practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • This position involves working in residential construction environments.
  • The role requires adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Technical or vocational training in a related field is a plus.
  • Experience in low-voltage lighting or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and blueprints.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with project managers and clients.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to represent Bravas positively.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties required, including lifting, standing, and handling tools and equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, or bending may be required.
  • Will actively have ladder use
  • Must be able to lift up to 30-45 pounds at times.
