Preco is hiring a Production manager for their Somerset, WI facility. This is a full time, permanent position onsite. 
 
Job Summary:
Manage and lead the CMS Production group to ensure that jobs are run in the most efficient, cost effective, and quality-controlled manner.  Carries out a responsive production effort to process profitable customer orders and help Preco exceed customers’ expectations.  Works on operations, improving profitability, efficiency, productivity, and sales volume.  Interfaces with customer, Sales, Engineering, Quality, Applications, and other business units.

Preco is a leading designer and manufacturer of precision automated processing systems for high-speed and high-accuracy cutting, perforating, welding, and other specialized industrial processing applications. With our proprietary die cutting and laser-based manufacturing capabilities, Preco has also become one of the largest contract manufacturing service (CMS) providers in North America.

 Job Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the production process, from initial client order intake to final product shipment.
• Maximize productivity while
• Oversee production planning and scheduling to meet client deadlines and optimize resource utilization.
• Implement and enforce strict quality control procedures to ensure products meet all specifications.
• Identify and mitigate potential production risks and develop contingency plans.
• Manage, hire, and develop a team of production personnel, including training, coaching, on-boarding and performance evaluations.
• Continuously improve production processes by identifying and implementing lean manufacturing principles.
• Manage and optimize inventory levels to maintain efficient operations.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates on production progress and addressing any concerns.
• Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Prepare and manage production budgets.
• Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, purchasing, and sales, to ensure seamless product flow.

Qualifications:

• In-depth understanding of lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in production management.
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective production plans and schedules.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with quality control procedures and industry-specific regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and production planning software (e.g., MRP).
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

• Experience within a contract manufacturing environment
• Experience and expertise in a high SKU/low volume per SKU environment preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Any Lean Six Sigma certifications
• Change management experience
