OMS Field Services, LLC. (OMS) is hiring a Project Equipment Expeditor / Administrator.  This is a part-time, hourly position. Typical schedule will vary from 16 to 29 hours per week.  The position requires the ability to travel on a limited basis, as business needs may dictate.  A valid driver’s license is required.

Ideal applicants will be organized, have high attention to detail, and be self-starters.  Ideal candidates will also be familiar with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. This individual will provide expediting services for large, distributed field programs with over 150 employees working on linear projects across geographies that may be more than 200 miles in extent.  The ideal candidate will also be strongly proficient in setting up Apple iPhones for field employee use.

Essential Functions: 
 
  • Work with different field managers to monitor equipment inventory levels, work with equipment supply vendors and ensure delivered supplies meet quality standards.
  • Contact vendors, place orders, verify supplies, manage supply requisition and communicate with suppliers to determine expected delivery dates and inform operation managers and project managers of potential delays.
  • Maintain equipment inventory lists and catalogues of assigned equipment.
  • Assess logistics needs and efficiency opportunities and, where possible, assign materials or allocate purchasing to field crew members to reduce cost, boost productivity, and prevent delays that can affect delivery.
  • Ensure regional and other communications for improved coordination of productive operations.
  • Monitor equipment delivery timelines, check work quality against company requirements and specifications and ensure compliance with contractual requirements and with regulations.
  • Collaborate with OMS’s field operations manager and project managers for updates on delivery timelines.
  • Develop equipment “go-bags” so that field personnel can be rapidly equipped with all necessary field equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Distribution and delivery of equipment to field crews.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding and documentation of assigned equipment.
  • Coordinate equipment repair and replacement
 
Requirements:
 
  • AA-Degree
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and related software tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Conduct a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
  • Ability to periodically travel to field locations to deliver equipment

Preferred: 
 
  • Four-year BS degree in engineering, construction management, industrial engineering, sciences, or related field
  • 1-3 years expediting experience for heavy civil and linear infrastructure projects and programs, or equivalent
  • OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification

Pay Range
$21.00   Hourly to $27.00   Hourly
