Job Title: Software Engineer
Job Location: Aberdeen, MD
Job Salary: $100K-$115K (The salary range provided is a general guideline. Nexagen Networks considers various factors when determining base salary offers, including the scope and responsibilities of the position, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.)
Job Description: Design, create, and modify Web sites. Analyze user needs to implement Web site content, graphics, performance, and capacity. May integrate Web sites with other computer applications. May convert written, graphic, audio, and video components to compatible Web formats by using software designed to facilitate the creation of Web and multimedia content. Project Specific: designs and develops user interface features, site animation, and special-effects elements. Contributes to the design group’s efforts to enhance the look and feel of the organization’s online offerings. Designs the website to support the organization’s strategies and goals relative to external communications. Develops applications based on current, new and future net-based applications. Requires significant graphics and design experience as well as HTML knowledge.
Key Responsibilities: The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Windows systems administration, proficiency in PowerShell, and a background in post-development software sustainment environments. - Design, develop, and maintain software applications.
- Perform Windows systems administration tasks.
- Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell.
- Work in a post-development software sustainment environment to ensure the ongoing functionality and improvement of software applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
- Have the ability to work with Cross functional teams
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
- Extensive experience with Windows systems administration.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
- Experience working in a post-development software sustainment environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with other scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
Qualifications: Minimum Education Level BA/BS 5+ Yrs. Experience Substitute AA w/7+ Yrs. experience
