Job Purpose:
The Refinery West Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ownership and assurance of preventative and reactive Maintenance execution activities within the Distilling and Coker/GOHT production units of the Pemex Deer Park Refinery.   The role ensures efficient and quality scoping, planning, and execution of both the daily maintenance schedule and emergent execution activities.  

Dimensions:
The Refinery West Maintenance Supervisor role has 7 direct reports consisting of Planners, Area Field Coordinator (AFC), and Discipline Coordinators (DC).   The role is a key member of the Maintenance Leadership team who collaborate to set consistent direction and practice across the 6 Maintenance areas within the Pemex Deer Park Refinery.   Leadership, adaptability, communication, and stakeholder engagement are critical skills for this position


Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
  • Manage $20MM+ annually in maintenance spend.
  • Accountable for direct staff of 7 along with 60+ crafts consisting of company and contractor crafts.
  • Manage a represented workforce within the area company crafts.
  • Knowledge and implementation of the Pemex/USW Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
  • Align maintenance demand prioritization and resource allocation across 2 OMC stakeholders.
  • Resource optimization amongst peer Maintenance Supervisors.
  • Lead multi-discipline teams in scoping, planning, and execution of field maintenance activities.
  • Development and tracking of monthly performance metrics.
  • CBL (Category Business Lead) responsibilities in managing 3rd party provider contracts.
  • Ensure all compliance activities are completed, or deferred, by assigned due date.
Key Qualifications:
  • Maintenance, Construction or TA Execution background with a technical degree preferred.

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Knowledgeable in Site orders, procedures, policies and work practices
Experience Requirements:
  • 10+ years’ experience of Maintenance execution in a Refinery, Chemical plant or similar asset.
  • Prior supervision of industrial represented workforce.
