Navy Certified Instructor/Trainer

Active Secret Clearance Required
Norfolk, Virginia or Kittery, Maine

@Orchard LLC is assisting a small Woman-Owned Federal Contractor with a high-priority search for an experienced Navy-certified trainer for an engagement that can be located in either Norfolk, VA or Kittery, ME. DC. The position supports the Naval Sea Systems Command, Shipyards, and Industrial Base agencies and supports workforce and workload management, logistic services, business operations, and total-force initiatives.

As the Navy-Certified Trainer you will;
  • Provide in-class training against established curriculum in a range of programs including Corrosion Prevention, Fire Control, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Systems (HM&E), and other related fields aligned to the operation of a shipyard service.
  • Assure the technical and operational accuracy of the subject matter undergoing training product development.
  • Support the Instructional Systems Analysts in identifying/validating training requirements.
  • Support the Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychologist in developing human performance metrics.
  • Develop target audience learning profiles.
  • Provide technical expertise in developing straw man task lists to expedite the task analysis process.
  • Provide consultation concerning the level of difficulty of assessment items.
  • Communicate with professionals in military and industrial training and transfer the advances in instructional technology for collecting and evaluating data to assigned tasks.
Your background will include
  • Navy training certification in an appropriate field of study
  • Active secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree or experience equivalency
  • At least 3 years of experience delivering in-classroom training within the Navy.
  • An ability to travel as necessary to deliver classes at shipyard locations and other facilities as specified by the government client.
