Longenecker & Associates (L&A) seeks a motivated Requirements Management SME to contribute to our mission supporting our work at a premiere National Laboratory in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The main duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Review proposed requirements changes to Defense Programs Business Process System (DPBPS) content and/or DOE/NNSA Directives content by developing crosswalks to show comparison against current requirements mappings to Nuclear Deterrence (ND) Realize Product Procedures (RPPs) and identify potential gaps.
  • Implement systems engineering principles, particularly around requirements analysis and mapping/traceability.
  • Conduct requirement reviews pertaining to proposed requirement changes and/or proposed new requirements.
  • These reviews may consist of the following: Perform Formal Reviews, Site Verifications, Site Impact Analysis.
  • Working with DOE/NNSA Directives to review and comment on proposed changes, perform a concurrence review, and perform a crosswalk to determine the impacts of the final requirements package on their perspective organization and lines.
  • Review and analyze Content Change Requests (CCRs) and work with SMEs—when applicable—to analyze, resolve, and prepare NWRIO for voting on whether the CCR will move forward.
 
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education in lieu of education.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Active DOE Q Clearance or DoD TS Clearance Required,
  • Knowledge and experience in Systems Engineering and Systems Engineering Standards (e.g., ISO, etc.),
  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing policies, processes, and procedures affecting product realization, research, projects, and initiatives,
  • Demonstrated expertise in analyzing requirements—new and revised—and developing requirements crosswalks that show mapping relationships between requirements and implementing procedures,
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills to include presentation creation and delivery,
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative and multi-disciplinary team environment to build consensus and resolve issues,
  • Ability to work in a diverse work environment,
  • Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening,
  • Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience on DOE sites and programs,
  • Experience working with DOE Contracting Sites (e.g., NSE sites such as Sandia National Laboratories, Los Alamos National Laboratory, etc.),
  • Experience with DOE & NNSA Directives (DOE Orders, NAPs, Supplemental Directives, etc.) and requirements flow-down into processes and procedures,
  • Certification in Systems Engineering (e.g., INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional).

LOCATION
Albuquerque, New Mexico

Open to considering a hybrid/virtual worker with regular or periodic travel to assigned work location of Albuquerque, NM.

This position is Part Time and is a 1 year contract with possibility of extension.
