This position is for a 1st Class Machinist. The successful candidate will be responsible for the tear down and rebuild of the facilities pumps, turbines and rotating equipment turnkey. Pumps include vertical, between bearing, overhung, screw pumps, positive displacement pumps, centrifugal pumps, diaphragm pumps, turbines, compressors, fans and various other rotating equipment. All repairs are completed to PEMEX DEER PARK Standards. This position may require shop and/or field work as well as call outs and weekend work when necessary but is primarily a day-shift position working 8-hour days.

Shop Work
The successful candidate will need a background in machining parts of various metals. Complete tear down, repair and rebuild of refinery rotating equipment. Must have the ability to calculate/check dimensions and tolerances to determine methods and sequences to repair or replace new components such as wear rings, pump case and pump head work, impeller trims, sleeves, shafts, threads, millings keyways, grinding parts flat/parallel etc. 

Shop Equipment
Ability and experience in using manual mills and manual lathes, horizontal boring Mills, surface grinders, Radial Drills, balance machine, saws, cutters, impacts, hand tools and others.

Field Work
Work under permit and occasionally under fresh air.  Tasks include, but are not limited to troubleshooting, repairing, installing, removing, aligning rotating equipment. Familiar with Mechanical Seals, bearings, prints. Capable of cleaning and lubricating equipment. Work alongside with other crafts to execute jobs safely.

Skills, abilities and experience we are looking for
Must exhibit a strong Safety Mindset
Preferred 10 years of relative experience in a Plant and Machine Shop experience. 
Relevant military experience will be considered
Must have a valid TWIC card
Must possess a current driver’s License
Must be able to comply with the company’s drug-free work environment
Must be able to work at heights, climb ladders and stairs, walk on high elevation grating, work in foul weather, work in loud/noisy areas and equipment, perform duties in confined and compact spaces and outdoors, including using appropriate fall protection.
Communicate effectively
Flexible to work overtime on same day or with little advance notice if necessary
Mechanical seal experience
Bearing removal/install
Determining all runouts and discrepancies with equipment and rebuilding back to Pemex standards
Perform Alignments
