LOCATION: 1790 Texas Eastern Road, Ragley, LA 70657
POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician is to perform mechanical maintenance and operations safely and efficiently on natural gas gathering & processing/treating equipment. To optimize throughput and to control all parameters of the processing/treating facility with emphasis on maximizing gas flow, liquid recovery, and outlet gas specifications while minimizing utility consumption and downtime. May be required to certify to operate the facility and support the operations staff. May be required to work a scheduled shift during weekends, holidays, commissioning, outages, and plant startup when needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Compliance with all associated regulations (ERP, RMP, PSM, RRC, SPCC, etc.), which includes necessary reporting, and documentation.
2. Ensure at least 98% mechanical availability on all facility equipment.
3. Provide technical knowledge & decision-making capabilities to troubleshoot a variety of mechanical equipment.
4. Responsible for preventative maintenance, to major overhauls on equipment such as but not limited to air compressors, coolers/fans, pumps, and process equipment.
5. Achieve safe O&M of the facility while maintaining continuous (24/7) operations of the gas gathering & distribution system, liquid separation facilities, mole sieve dehydration, cryogenic section, liquid hydrocarbon treating facilities, fractionation, propane refrigeration, treating equipment, hot oil systems, compression, liquid sales lines, processed gas sales, and truck loading facilities.
6. Perform monthly plant facility inspections.
7. Perform laboratory test and analysis associated with liquid hydrocarbon removal from the gas stream and product treating for CO2 removal to meet Product Specifications.
8. Reads meters and gauges or automatic recording devices at specified intervals to verify operating conditions.
9. Records data such as temperature of equipment, hours of operation, fuel consumed, temperature or pressure, water levels, analysis of flue gases, voltage load and generator balance.
10. Adjusts manual controls or overrides automatic controls to bring equipment into recommended or prescribed operating ranges, switch to backup equipment or systems, or to shut down equipment.
11. Visually inspects equipment at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment, or lubrication.
12. Maintains equipment by tightening fittings, repacking bearings, replacing packing glands, gaskets, valves, recorders, and gauges, oils & lubricates equipment, and cleaning or replacing burners or other components.
13. Performs water titration tests and pours chemical additives, such as water softener, into treatment tank to prevent scale buildup and to clean boiler lines.
14. Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment such as the expander, natural gas engines, turbines, compressors, and pumps, which requires medium to heavy lifting. Minor Maintenance includes, but is not limited to:
• Change gauges (temperature, pressure, etc.) within the plant.
• Assist in removing and replacing lean/rich amine exchangers.
• Remove and replace electric motors and belts.
• Remove and replace filters, oils and other lubricating fluids on all plant equipment.
• Remove and replace gaskets.
• Remove and replace valves within the plant.
• Install pipe plugs as needed.
• Clean offices, control room, and plant yard (pick up trash, take out trash, mop, and wax floors).
• At times may assist compressor mechanic in changing out suction/ discharge valves on compressors.
• Clean out level sight glasses on all vessels.
• Change out control valves as needed.
• Secure all types off tubing and piping as needed.
• Paint equipment as needed.
• Change out light bulbs.
• Replace fuses.
• At times may assist I&E tech in trenching, installing conduit, and pulling wire.
15. Performs other job-related duties as required or requested by supervisor.
16. Maintains good economic thinking skills while working under tight budgetary demands.
17. Continually tracking and updating maintenance schedules related to compression equipment.
18. Collaborates well with direct supervisor to develop procedures and ideas on improving overall maintenance programs.
19. Maintains good working relationships with co-workers, officers and managers, company customers, vendors, and contractors.
20. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, including the ability to recognize situations in which confidentiality is required.
21. Must pass pre-employment drug test and criminal history background check, and will be subject to random, for-cause, and post-accident drug testing, in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
22. Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the Company’s vehicle insurance policy.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in gas processing operations and/or experience in a mechanical background.
Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable under company’s vehicle insurance policy. Must pass pre-employment background check.
