The BILT Government team is a group within BILT working to deliver our 3D Interactive and XR Immersive Instructions to the United States Government, primarily to the Department of Defense.
Eligibility Factors:
Required Qualifications- Military Experience: Transitioning service member eligible for the DoD SkillBridge program
- Knowledge of Government Contracting: Understanding of DoD procurement processes, FAR/DFAR regulations, and contracting vehicles (e.g., GSA schedules, IDIQs)
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business development principles, market research, lead generation, and sales strategy
- Communication & Negotiation Skills: Excellent ability to develop relationships, negotiate contracts, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Leadership & Initiative: Demonstrated leadership ability with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing business opportunities
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, or a related field
- CRM Systems Experience: Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of SaaS and its applications in sectors such as defense, aerospace, or technology.
Jobs Description: Federal Operations Intern – Capture Management/Proposal Development
This role is ideal for transitioning service members looking to apply their leadership skills and knowledge of the DoD contracting space to a civilian business development role.
Key Responsibilities- Market Research & Opportunity Identification:
- Conduct research to identify opportunities in both government and commercial sectors that align with our SaaS solution
- Analyze government contracting trends and opportunities to identify growth areas
- Leverage knowledge of DoD procurement processes to target relevant government opportunities
- Proposal Development & Capture Management:
- Lead the development of proposals in response to RFPs, RFIs, and other government solicitations that align with our SaaS solution
- Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored proposals that meet client needs
- Participate in bid/no-bid decision and capture management to support contract strategies
- Business Development Strategy Execution:
- Contribute to the development and execution of a strategic business development plan, focused on expanding our offerings and market presence
- Analyze business development performance metrics and adjust strategies as necessary
- Contract Management & Compliance:
- Assist in managing the lifecycle of government contracts, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFAR regulations and contract terms
- Stay informed of DoD acquisition policies and government contracting trends to maintain a competitive advantage
