The Role
The Union for Reform Judaism (URJ)’s Acting Together for Justice team is seeking a dynamic and driven Campaign Manager to lead efforts to protect and strengthen democracy through strategic issue advocacy and voter engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in shaping the future of democracy and social justice through a nonpartisan, values-driven movement. You’ll work in a collaborative, mission-driven environment, surrounded by passionate colleagues who share your commitment to making a difference. As part of our team, you will play a key role in advancing the Every Voice, Every Vote campaign, a nonpartisan initiative rooted in Jewish values that seeks to foster a strong, inclusive democracy. This campaign works to ensure that every voice is heard and every vote counts, particularly those from marginalized backgrounds (People of Color, working class and economically disenfranchised folks, people who speak English as a second language, immigrants, people with disabilities, members of the LGBTQ+ community and other underrepresented groups). You will also support broader movement-wide campaigns that drive positive social change.
What You Will Do
The Campaign Manager reports to Director of Campaign and is responsible for the following:
-
Support the strategic planning and execution of URJ’s national campaigns, with a focus on domestic justice and the Reform Movement’s Israel advocacy. Ensure that campaign tactics and messaging are aligned with the broader strategic goals of the organization and effectively implemented at the local level.
-
Expand the reach and impact of the Every Voice, Every Vote campaign by recruiting new participants from a wide range of backgrounds and deepening engagement with existing supporters. Focus on building a diverse and inclusive base of advocates across different communities.
-
Identify and cultivate new leaders within the campaigns, providing guidance and mentorship to empower individuals to take on leadership roles and expand the movement’s impact.
-
Support the creation and project management of justice circles—small, grassroots, community-driven groups focused on justice advocacy. Ensure these circles are effectively organized, impactful, and aligned with the larger goals of the URJ’s justice initiatives.
-
Contribute to the advancement of broader URJ priorities and initiatives, ensuring that justice work is woven into the organization’s overall strategic vision.
