SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for providing human resources guidance and support across all departments, with an emphasis on recruitment, onboarding, as well as employee experience and engagement. Supports the day-to-day operations of the People Solutions department in a wide variety of human resources functional areas including recruitment, onboarding, personnel records, benefits administration, payroll, and policy implementation. Provides consultation on human resources policies and practices.  General project management of new initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding
    • Develop employer branding that complements UP Entertainment values to attract and retain top talent.
    • Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the talent acquisition process in alignment with Company strategy, values and performance competencies from sourcing through the offer process with an emphasis on the candidate journey.
    • Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
    • Lead interview training process for individuals and panel interviewers.
    • Manage pre-employment process, including criminal background check verification and reference checks.
    • Lead new hire orientation and onboarding.
    • Support the development and ongoing improvement of the onboarding process, with emphasis on the employee journey
Administrative and Recordkeeping
    • Onboard new hires through HRIS and maintain files for current employees
    • Facilitate and coordinate new hire essentials for new employees (laptop, computer, phone, email address, network drive access, building access card, etc.).
    • Assist with employment verification requests in a timely manner as needed (back-up support).
    • Handle termination documentation and recordkeeping as needed.
    • Assist with legal and regulatory compliance as needed.​​​​​​
Employee Engagement and Recognition
    • Coordinate, facilitate, oversee and foster participation in employee events (Holiday Party, Quarterly Employee outings, Lunch & Learns, etc.)
    • Implement regular feedback mechanisms such as surveys to gauge employee satisfaction and engagement.
Training and Development
    • Develop and lead People Solutions related training and presentations and materials.
    • Support development of training programs in the LMS to align with company initiatives and priorities
    • Partner with PEO for organizational training and development opportunities.
    • Support management and administration of mentorship, and leadership development programs.
    • Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
Employee Relations and Performance Management
  • Participate in employee relations and performance management counseling as needed, which may include assignments in development and delivery of feedback or corrective actions that align with UP values and processes.
  • Conduct exit interviews and manage the offboarding process.
Payroll and Benefits (back-up support)
  • Serve as secondary/backup for preparation and processing employee payroll for salaried and hourly employees.
  • Respond in an accurate and timely manner to payroll & benefit related questions from employees.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
  • Minimum 7 years of human resources experience, with at least five years full-cycle recruitment experience and experience with recruiting/applicant tracking software platforms.
  • Media and entertainment experience a plus.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be at minimum proficient (preferably advanced) with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and experienced with HRIS software tools and reporting.

CERTIFICATIONS
PHR or SPHR highly preferred
